The Walls of Jerusalem is an alpine realm of mountains, lakes, tarns and Pencil Pine forests. It is a delightful scenic place.
Total walk distance: 15km. It will be a full day but is not too hard for those blessed with moderate fitness.
Walk route: car park to Trappers Hut to George Howes Lake to Golden Gate to Ephraims Gate to Pool of Siloam to Lake Salome to Trappers Hut to car
park.
From Ephraim’s gate it is an option to climb Zion Hill but only if the group, or a sub-group of responsible Peak Baggers, so want to do.

Warnings:
E Exposed alpine conditions – can be dangerous in poor weather if not fully equipped (You must be equipped for poor conditions even if the weather forecast is promising).
D Drive distance requires early departure – 7:30 am
S Steep incline for at least part of the way
M Marshy or muddy sections – be prepared to walk with wet feet.

Meeting Times and Places:
Departure from Door of Hope car park is at 7:30 am. Next meeting place is at Mole Creek near public toilets 8:30 am, then Walls car park at 9 am. However, you still need to contact the walk leader, Kent Lillico, per details above if intending to walk. The leader should be notified of any other people you intend to bring along. Do not contact me if intending to do the walk. You should always contact the walk leader if intending to participate in a particular Boots N’ All walk.
Walls of Jerusalem car park is accessed as follows: From Mole Creek, continue west approx. 3.5 km, then turn south into Liena Rd. as though heading for King Solomon’s Caves. About 10 km on, turn south onto Mersey Forest Rd. After about 10 km, you will cross the Mersey R. just north of Parangana Dam. Continue south another 12 km or so, and again cross the Mersey R. just north of Rowallan Dam. The turnoff to Walls of Jerusalem car park is approx. 6 km further south. Turn left and reach the car park in under 1 km.
